Trout Fishing Activity Heating Up
Written by drbob on October 15, 2010 – 7:30 pm -It's that time of year again, temperatures are dropping and so trout fishing activity is heating up before Winter sets in! Fall is always one of my favorite times to be out fishing. In addition to good trout activity, there's plenty of Fall scenery to enjoy (at least in my neck of the woods). Trout fishing should continue to improve through October and even the early part of November (depending on where you live). With cooler temperatures trout will be moving closer to the water's surface which offers many advantages to anglers. Lures, Power Bait, and nightcrawlers are good bets in Fall weather, though you'll still have to experiment to figure out which one works best on a given day. Read More →

Cooler Weather Means Better Trout Fishing
Written by drbob on October 15, 2010 – 7:27 pm -I don't know about the rest of the country, but where I live (northern Arizona), temperatures are starting to cool down ... which means the Fall trout fishing is just around the corner. Trout become a lot more active when warm summer temps starting cooling down. They like cooler water (which is typically more oxygenated) and so will start feeding near the water's surface. This is good news for anglers! This time of year, the best trout fishing still tends to be early morning and early evening ... but as mid-day temps drop further, trout will be easier to catch all day long. Read More →
